BentSpoke Brewing Co (BentSpoke) was formed in 2013 as a partnership between long term Canberra brewers, partners and hospitality operators Richard Watkins and Tracy Margrain and the Meddings family, owners, and operators of Australia’s largest independent craft beer supplier. Taking the experience and expertise of the partnership they created a contemporary craft beer brand with the vision of delivering a world class beerexperience. In June 2014, the first stage, a 240 seat BrewPub with the capacity to brew over 175,000L a year on site was launched in Braddon, Canberra.

The BentSpoke BrewPub showcases at least 20 ‘brewed on site’ beers and a seasonal innovation pipeline of over 40 new beers a year. Winning awards for hospitality and beer quality from its first year. After more than 6 years in operation the BentSpoke BrewPub has helped transform the inner northern hospitality precinct of Braddon and is a must visit destination for Canberra locals and visitors and national and international beer followers. Winning numerous medals and awards for the quality of its beers and brewery, including the World Beer Cup, Bronze Medal for Red Nut in 2018.

From its inception BentSpoke has built a reputation for quality and service that has developed a fierce loyalty. BentSpoke’s loyalty program the “Draughters” has over 1100 members, combined with over 40,000 active database and social media members BentSpoke has the most loyal craft beer followers in Australia. BentSpoke now through a production facility established in 2016, distributes its beer all around Australia.
